University of Innsbruck: Walk the Line

Exhibitions and Installations
26 June - 4 July
The site of the project is situated south of Bow Church, just apart of High Street. The square like situation - Stroudley Walk - is mainly used as a passage, surrounded by a few shops, and numerous vacant spaces. The project follows the intention to reveal the lost and by now unknown qualities of this public space. Walk the line aims to change the squares qualities from a passage way to a place accommodating social interaction. The blue line accomponaies the every day flow of movements, slowing down and stopping the people passing by, producing attention and accordingly evoking action. By revealing and integrating possible activities public encounter is fostered.
